Wing Haven Engagement with Ashley and Kenneth | Charlotte Wedding Photographer

Kenneth and Ashley were head over heels for each other (as you can see below 😉 ). Just like any southern gentleman, Kenneth wanted to ask Ashley’s father’s permission before popping the big question! He knew a few things about Ashley and her family. One was that both her mom and grandmother were proposed to on their birthdays, and he knew Ashley was hoping to continue out the tradition. He had planned to meet with her parents the night before, just as soon as he finished up work. See, he works with his family at their car dealership, and part of his job is to attend car auctions each week to snag the best cars he can find. He had been dropped off at this auction that was about an hour away from where the auction was taking place, and he had never had issues before with cars just not being there… Until that night. Of course. It had gotten down to the last ten cars, and Kenneth was getting worried he’d be left without a way to Ashley’s parents’ to ask for her hand in marriage, soooo he did what every romance novel would have him do if he were the main character. He bought an old junker that still had Taco Bell rotting away in the front seat, drove to her parents’ house, and got permission to propose! And she said yes ON her birthday, thus continuing out the tradition for the third generation!
