DC Trip – May 2012

filed in

On Saturday, I went straight to Washington DC to hang out with my cousins for the weekend. My other cousin Tyler came with me, and we had the best time jamming out the entire way there. Of course we had to make a pit stop at Dilworth in Concord to grab some excellent coffee to get pumped and prepared for that six hour drive. By the way, you all should go and try their caramel coconut chiller- for real.

Before I forget- LOOK AT THOSE CUPCAKES. Lord have mercy. As soon as I walked in the door the night we arrived, my attention was caught. A heavenly moist cupcake filled with chocolaty goodness covered in mouth-watering cream cheese frosting and topped with a sea salt chocolate covered almond… Oh. Yes. And then I heard the words that would change my life forever… “Casey, those are for you! Happy Birthday, Cuz!!” :O!!!!!!!!!!!!! And then I gained ten pounds.

Below are some photos captured from our trip as well as some photos I snapped of baby Owen! He’s growing up so quickly, and it’s the neatest thing to go back and look at all of the photos I’ve taken of him- from being in Chelsea’s belly to seeing him try to crawl. When Tyler brought his guitar case up, Chelsea grabbed it and said, “PLEASE let me fulfil my dream of having pictures of Owen in a guitar case!” SOOOO we brought this out onto the back patio for a mini mini session, and Owen was the best baby in the entire world for me! I think having his daddy there helped a bit too 😉

I will be returning to DC one last time before Becky takes off on The World Race! I do have mixed emotions about it since YES she will be helping out tons of people, BUT I’m being a little selfish because I will miss her tremendously. If you haven’t checked out what she will be doing, I encourage you to do so. It’s a great thing, and she needs your support 🙂
Thanks, guys!
