Tara + One Year! | Charlotte NC Photographer

Tara is one of the most caring souls of anyone I know, and she genuinly has a heart of gold. She hasn’t really had any photos done since her days in high school, so I wanted to give her something that reflected how gorgeous she is inside and out.

So, as many of you know I’ve been counting down the days until my business hit its one year mark. That day is today, and I am just so pleased and surprised with how my first year has turned out. Now, you may be like, “It’s one year.. big whoop.” The statistics for photographers being successful is pretty low- most fail before they even get to one year, let alone two, especially in an economy where money isn’t exactly growing on trees. To be able to consider this year “successful” is huge.
If you know how I started this business, you know I was extremely hesitant about it. I’ve heard so many horror stories from photographers throughout the years, and was strongly discouraged from pursuing this. However, after struggling to find passion in my studies at school and being unable to answer someone when they asked what I wanted to do, I finally started considering this. When I began having people hire me, it only inspired me to get more serious about this as a career, and that’s the path I’m taking.
Thank you to everyone that’s believed in and trusted me to capture your precious moments in life. Photography IS that passion I’ve been searching for, and I feel so blessed to be able to do what I love.
