Everyone that knows me KNOWS I rarely ever answer my phone… I never get calls at good times from being super busy, or I have bad reception, or I don’t even hear my phone. But I was sitting with my sister and dad when my phone rang one night… I ran into the other room to talk, and was greeted by a friendly male voice…
“Hey Casey! I know you don’t know me, and this is a little strange, but I believe you have an appointment with Tiffany on the 30th, right?”
I was really curious where this was going at this point, as I’m sure anyone would be! I had an idea though 😉
“Yep! That’s right.”
“I’m her boyfriend, and well… I was wondering if I could talk to you about a little plan I have in mind.” And yep – if you guessed he was going to have a surprise proposal for Tiffany, you’d be correct!
This boy. Oh my goodness. He spilled his plan to me about how he was going to be flying in to have lunch with Tiffany’s mother a few days before their session so he could inform her of his intentions, and then the next part just left me with tears in my eyes. So if you are a girl, please go get tissues right now because you WILL need it. Tiffany’s dad passed away several years ago, and Dwight knew how important it was for a man to ask his girl’s father permission to marry her. After their lunch, they headed to where Tiffany’s dad had been laid to rest, and he sat down and spoke to him. He showed him the ring, spoke of his love for Tiffany, and asked his permission to marry her.
When Saturday had rolled around, I was anxious about this session! My sister and I had grabbed some chalk boards and made little signs to use after he popped the question, and I was just bursting inside because I knew how special this would be for them. Tiffany thought we were just doing couples photos for Christmas… but this is what happened instead.
And then I got my sign…
So I said, “Alright, I’m going to have you two turn and face each other now!”
And she said YES!
Pure joy 🙂
He can always make her laugh 
Same pose we did at the beginning, but this time, that girl’s gotta RING on it! 
My heart is so full of happiness for these two, and I have no doubt they will have a lasting and loving life together. Congratulations, you two!
