“Will you come to Minnesota to photograph my wedding?” he asked. Obviously the answer was a big YES! So Christina and I packed our bags, and off we went to this beautiful state! When we arrived at the hotel, they weren’t quite ready for us yet, so obviously our next decision involved food. Hell’s Kitchen to be exact, followed by Angel Food Bakery right beside it. Funny, right? Look at this heavenly food (I can keep going if you want….). We didn’t have a lot of free time to explore, but everything we DID see and experience was nothing short of amazing 🙂 The people there are seriously some of the most friendly people I’ve ever come across – like we stopped random strangers on the street when we kept getting lost at first, and every single one of them gladly helped us out. Truly puts southern hospitality to shame!
Mental note: Minneapolis gets pretty chilly in October. Bring warm clothing, not little dresses and leggings. FAIL. Another first stop was to Target to get coats.
Our swanky hotel 🙂 This caught my eye – I love it! On our last day there, which was the day after the wedding, I was so…. exhausted. Christina was my power button. “GET UP! NOW!” Oi. I crawled out of bed, threw my clothes back in the suitcase, felt the stinging in my eyes when Christina thrust the curtains open with such gusto, and then I forced myself out the door and into the elevator to go to the top of the building where we would have 360 views. I love Christina, and I am so grateful she forces me to do stuff like this rather than sleeping in like I wanted. Gotta love the wedding photographer “hangover” look going on here 😉
We definitely had a blast, and Minneapolis is certainly a city I’d love to visit again!
