Lindsey and Kenny’s Southern Romance Wedding | Albemarle NC

This sweet southern couple – oh my goodness. I showed up to their family home where Lindsey and her bridesmaids were singing and getting ready despite the rain falling outside. “It’s gonna be pretty no matter what!” she said. And she was so right! Once everyone was ready, Lindsey had just assumed that getting photos with her man beforehand wouldn’t happen. The rain had picked up, and even the space covered by trees were drenched. I told her to come out on the front porch, told her to face the left side and close her eyes. After this, I grabbed Kenny, told him to close his eyes, and slowly walked him into a wall through the house and onto the porch to face the right. I had them walk backwards to stand back to back, asked them to hold hands, and then when everything was perfect, I had them both turn around to see each other for the first time. A smile was permanently attached to Kenny’s face as he saw his bride. After they shared their moment together, we all prepared for the ceremony. Lindsey kept peeking out to see how many friends and family members had arrived, and she was giggling with excitement as the seats filled! So many loved ones came out in the rain with smiles on and umbrellas up, and laughter filled the air as they all talked about how beautiful the day was going to be. When the time came, Lindsey’s family took to a microphone, and they played and sang their hearts out as Lindsey walked down the aisle to her groom. And the rest? It’s history. Perfect southern romance history. Meet Jake. He also goes by Luke, Buddy, and pretty much any name you call him 😉 I plead the fifth on how much cake was definitely “tasted”… Her family pitched in to all create a beautiful (and delicious) spread of cakes of any and every flavor you can imagine.
