We met last Wednesday, two days before they were to have their charlotte uptown elopement wedding and say, “I do!”
Their happiness was infectious. Erica made JD laugh almost as much as he could make her laugh. I asked them their why – why elope?
“We’ve been together for twelve years. We are practically married as it is, and it’s just time. We love the spontaneity and ease of it.” 
At one point, I asked JD how he and Erica met. “We were at a wedding, and my friends were trying to set me up with someone. I appreciated their efforts, but I had my eye on her.” It was something that he just knew – something he could feel was right. They started chatting, and her cute grin was all it took. And they’ve been together ever since! As all things go that are meant to be, all the pieces just fell together perfectly. Their lives have always been one, but now it’s official, and 2016 ended on the best note possible! Congratulations, you two
