As you all know, I had a brilliant weekend planned full of boudoir sessions! Caitlynn drove down from Greensboro late Friday night, and we were SO excited for our weekend to start that we actually didn’t really sleep much haha. As the girls arrived, it became obvious they shared our excitement too! We had music blasting, endless wine, the most AMAZING finger foods EVER (thanks to Vickie Duncan at the Duncan Hill Inn!!!!), and we had girls feeling so good with themselves.
I always had a good laugh when meeting a guy on a first date and he’d ask,
“So, tell me what your favorite session is?”
and my response would be, “Boudoir!”
… “Er… what’s that?”
*sigh* “Women strip down for me. It’s basically every guy’s dream.”
Lol… Yep. I am THAT person with THAT response. But it’s true. This is my favorite type of session to do, and I love it SO much because women feel comfortable enough to show me who they are and what they are made of. They ALL have insecurities, but my job is to show and prove to them that they are WAY more than just what they think they see in the mirror.
We live in a world that tells us we are imperfect and don’t deserve to be happy. We have the media pounding down on us nonstop in our lives. It is hard, and so very easy to lose sight of how incredible we all are in our own ways.
STOP comparing yourself to some celebrity that runs off diet energy drinks. STOP comparing yourself to the girl that just spent $10,000 to make herself look like that. Instead, START recognizing that YOU are PERFECT. YOU have WORTH. YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL THE WAY YOU ARE.

These responses? Yea. This is why I love boudoir.
I would like to take a moment and thank the girls below for allowing me to use their before and after images. They are each absolutely wonderful, and it was an honor getting to work with them this weekend.
