My dear Emily,
I have a confession for you… But first, let me explain.
I remember the first time you told me the news of your mother’s condition during our consultation. I was completely heart broken, and honestly wondered how I’d make it through your wedding emotionally. She had a hard battle of fighting cancer ahead of her, and you knew how precious that time would be. However, just a few short weeks before your wedding, I saw your post announcing her passing. And I cried. Hard. My soul ached for you and your family, and I was just devastated by this loss. I truly cannot imagine losing my mother, especially at such a monumental point in life like your situation. I got to work thinking of different ways to surprise you at your wedding with a little special tribute to her, but it seemed like everything I’d thought of was already covered. Instead, I spoke with both Robin at Bella Grace Floral and Kathleen aka The Bead Lady aka the most awesome jeweler ever, and had a top secret mission in place 🙂 At your wedding, there was a small bouquet made to honor your mother, and you placed it in a beautiful little section dedicated to her life. After all was done, I snuck over and pocketed some of the delicate petals, and placed them in my car to dry out in the summer heat. After they were ready, I went by Kathleen’s shop in Concord, and had this beautiful and unique pendant made using those petals from your mom’s bouquet as well as charms that are symbolic of her, which can be worn on a necklace, placed on a key ring, etc. Please enjoy this gift, and always cherish the memories you two shared. I have no doubt that your mother was with you on your wedding day celebrating and sending her love 🙂
