Taylor’s High Grove Wedding Bridals in Raleigh NC + Utilizing down time

A southern tradition is having bridal portraits done before a wedding, but sometimes it’s hard to fit those in or brides simply aren’t interested. I’ve recently noticed that more down time has been happening at weddings, which is normally when I just wait until it’s time to get back into the action if all the details have been captured. Instead, I started thinking about how I could serve my clients even more. With Taylor and Austin’s High Grove wedding this past weekend, there was a moment during photos with the bridesmaids when the first bus of guests arrived – RIGHT where we were doing photos. A bridesmaid or mother (I can’t remember- we will just refer to her as hero) jumped into action, ran in front of the bus telling them to stop and back that thang UP as we all surrounded the bride and rushed her to the back of this one area to hide her from everyone. Instead of standing around and waiting for everyone to leave the bus, I thought, “What better time to grab some photos of the bride by herself?” And that is exactly what we did. In a simple EIGHT minutes, we were able to snag these gorgeous shots of Taylor. This is just proof that when life gives ya lemons, turn them into something fabulous!
